Beth Wurcker, aka Miss Betty, is a Canberra based artisan producing handmade beads and jewellery since 2008.
Miss Betty's beads are made from a variety of materials with polymer being the major player. With its infinite colour palette, strength and versatility as a medium, the results are stunning.
Beth produces wearable, high quality yet affordable one-off pieces, designed to be worn and loved for many years.
Taking inspiration from fabrics, art-even cracks in the footpath, her designs are either monochromatic or richly coloured, but never flashy. Strong patterns and color combinations excite her eye but never seek to dominate the personality of the wearer.
Beth invites commissions for individual beads or complete pieces. Workshops can also be arranged and a one day introduction to polymer clay is offered through the Brain Gym in Weston ACT (please see their website for details).

Have just finished my entry for this years Merimbula Busting Out event- had a great time making all the bits to decorate the bust. Can't wait for the big opening night on June 30.
Beth Wurcker, aka Miss Betty, is a Canberra based artisan working with (mostly) polymer to create one off, gorgeous beads which are then turned into wearable works of art.
Polymer is an exciting medium to work with due to it's bright, highly saturated colour and adaptability to many techniques.
With artist friends Santo Miguel and Shanna Provost,Beth held a very successful exhibition in April 2010 at the Q Performing Art Centre.
